This section contains printable letters and checklists you may find useful when communicating with teachers, coaches and others caring for your child. Customize them with more personal information about your child and specific instructions that apply to the activities in which your child is involved.
While the primary goal of these communications is to give others the necessary information to support a child with a hearing loss, you may also choose to include information about your child's strengths, skills and challenges beyond his or her hearing loss. This is an excellent opportunity to reinforce that your child is a child first and a child with a hearing loss second.
