SmartFocus™ lets you focus on sounds in front of you or experience a gradual increase in awareness of sounds all around you depending on your listening needs.
One simple control lets you adjust four powerful features: microphone directional response, speech enhancement LD, noise reduction, and overall loudness.SmartFocus is easily adjusted through a scroll wheel on the Smart Control remote or through a control on your Passport hearing instruments.
Adjusting for clarity and focus: Adjusting up towards clarity focuses on sounds in front of you and helps you to hear speech more clearly, such as when you are conversing with a friend sitting across from you at a busy restaurant.
Adjusting for comfort: Adjusting down towards comfort decreases uncomfortably loud sounds, while providing awareness of sound all around you, such as when walking along a busy street.
Latitude 16 remembers your smartFocus and volume control adjustments, so you spend less time fine-tuning your hearing instruments.
